If you are trying to get the MIDI notes to uniform length you set the timeline grid to the value you want and set the timeline edit mode to Grid Absolute. I don't follow what else you would want it to do with trying to simultaneously enter multiple different notes. You click each note in with the mouse cursor one at a time.
